About the workshop

Letterpressing is an art form that has been preserved and evolved throughout the years since its invention in China in 1040AD. Up till the 20th century, it remained the primary way of printing and distributing information through newspapers and books. In this workshop, you will learn about the history of letterpressing, as well as experience first-hand how printing was done in the past with our vast collection of moveable types from all over the world!

Get personally acquainted with our in-house Vandercook SP-15 - an excellent poster printing press. Look forward to learning how to handset and print your own type compositions, show off inky fingers at the end of the workshop and bring home customized poster prints!
