About the workshop

Screen printing is a form of stenciling that first appeared in a recognizable form in China during the Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD). Later, it was adapted by other Asian countries such as Japan, and the art was furthered with the creation of new techniques, spreading throughout the globe with artists and designers alike.

In this screen printing workshop, learn how to use Peranakan Tile designs to create your very own unique fabric artwork! Get hands-on and design your own customized tote bag in a traditional shophouse located within the cultural depths of Kampong Glam. You'll want to carry this tote bag everywhere!
