Overtime, they would become more and more densely patched, and Boro came to be associated with the clothing worn by these commoners.
Sashiko stitch is a technique developed by the women and housewives to repair these Boro garments. In this engaging workshop, you and your mom will learn how to stitch together fabric scraps to create your very own coasters! Apart from spending quality time together and stitching your own creations, you'll also learn the art of 'mottanai', which means to waste nothing, and how you can upcycle fabric scraps you have in your homes!
