About the workshop
Eating sticky rice dumplings are a must during The Dragon Boat Festival. In Singapore, these rice dumplings are called 粽子 (zong zi) or Bakzang, with an emphasis on the bak! The Dragonboat Festival, is also called the Dumpling Festival, and is traditionally celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Delicious bamboo leaf-wrapped steamed glutinous rice dumplings can be seen eaten by families everywhere, with four main types being sold by hawkers all around our little island.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to make all four dumplings in a hands-on workshop with Jia Lei's experienced chefs.
