About the workshop
Noodles form a vital part of many regional Chinese cuisines and are regarded as a staple in many Asians families kitchens. With various shapes and types of noodles such as 拉面 [Lā miàn]- hand-pulled noodles, 米线 [mǐ xiàn] - rice noodles, 粿条 [guǒ tiáo] - flat rice noodles etc. Singaporeans often find it difficult to pick their favorite "mee" in the kopitiams of Singapore!
Noodles not only provide nutrition, but they also play a huge role when it comes to culture and religion. For example. the Chinese eat longevity noodles 长寿面 [cháng shòu miàn] during birthdays, 打卤面 [dǎ lǔ miàn] during weddings and more. In this hands-on workshop held at Jia Lei Confectionary & Training Centre, learn more about noodles by getting hands-on and making them yourself!

- Pork Stewed Meat Pumpkin Noodles (Dry/Soup)
- Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Meat and Mushroom Carrot Noodles (Dry/Soup)

Founded in 1984 by Ms Bong Hiong Hwa, Jia Lei Confectionery & Training Centre is a homey, artisanal bakery and culinary centre that prides itself on a mutual love of food and all things cuisine-related.
