About the workshop

Located in the middle of the French Concession, look forward to a hands-on cooking class with our professional and bilingual Chefs! In this private DimSum Class, you will have the choice of choosing from the following listed dimsum dishes - and receive recipes in English, Chinese and Japanese to bring home!

Dimsum traditionally comes from Hong Kong, but has it’s roots in Chinese Culture and refer to prepared bite-sized delicacies. These delicacies are typically served in a bamboo-made steamer basket or small plate, and the concept is tied to yum cha (Chinese: 饮茶;Cantonese: yám chàh; pinyin: yǐnchá; literally: "drink tea”), a tradition stemmed from travelers stopping at tea houses along the ancient Silk Road for tea and delicacies.
