About the workshop
For over thousands of years, the unique art of Chinese paper cutting has been passed down from generation to generation. In this workshop, you will learn how to create your very own paper cut artwork from Chinese paper cutting artist, Lynette Chen.
Paper cutting is one of the oldest and most popular folk arts in China and can be dated back to the 2nd century C.E (long before paper was even invented!) Today, it is a part of UNESCO's list of 'Intangible Cultural Heritage'. Chinese paper cutting is no longer an art form used just for decorative purposes. It is also an artistic way to convey people's hopes, ideas and feelings. Look forward to expressing yourself through this unique art form and bringing home your own creations!
